Starball is a rough-and-tumble contact sport popular in (certain parts of) Yurpsland. Before the Crash there was even a nation-wide professional league, but now the sport is centered more locally and semi-professionally. Eetown is not a hotbed of the sport, but there is a Starball Arena in the Party Palace.

The city of Nye in the province of Impass is the place to go in Yurpsland if you want to party down.

The province of Isdanlia can be such a jumbled and rocky place, without magic sending a runner can sometimes be the fastest and safest way to deliver messages between island communities. At least until you're able to get a Sparkwire strung.

The province of Arcadia is the home of the Yurps family, who mounted a long, bloody and ultimately successful campaign to (pretty much) unify the sprawling country that now bears their name. It is ironic, maybe, that much of Arcadia is productive farmland and rolling bucolic countryside. It is all, in fact, rather dull.

The fiefdoms of Fredonia and Florin long squabbled inconclusively over control of the one good pass through the Ridgeback Mountains, leading finally to the creation of a neutral buffer strip which eventually became a Yurpslandian province in its own right, Impass. Because of that squabbling, it remains dotted with numerous war-memorials, erected by both sides of the conflict.
