As lazy an artist as I can be, I'm not going to once again stoop to drawing a sequence of "eyeballs floating in darkness". So. For the moment at least, if you see a scene shaded like this, assume a Human would experience it as near pitch-darkness. (Yesterday's strip is not an example of this, there was enough actual light filtering in from the edge for a small evergreen tree to scraggle along.)
